Typographic Font Poster
Final Font Poster - Bembo Book: Regular, Italic, Bold, Bold Italic
The purpose of this project was to design a poster to sell a specific font family from Fonts.com. The font family I chose was Bembo Book, a type specifically designed to have great readability at small sizes and used in long sets of body copy. The poster is 16 inches x 20 inches. The project required the name of the font, examples of the different weights, the price, website/logo, the creators of the font, a quote to highlight the use of the font, and a historical summary of the font. The historical summary of this typeface, as found at Fonts.com, makes up the small type in the letters.
The following images represent my process of creating this project. I began with hand drawn sketches of my ideas, followed by quick digital sketches of the ones I thought had potential. After choosing the best of these digital sketches, I proceeded to refine the design and add color.
