For this project, the objective was to create an event poster. In this case, it is a festival on one of the most famous beaches is Bali, Indonesia. The target audience is anyone interested in surfing, art, yoga, and/or music. Specifically targeting the ages between 18 and 28, although all ages are welcome to attend. For the typefaces, Roboto was chosen to compliment the Rhythm typeface. Due to the fact that the Roboto typeface is so general and thin, it compliments the chaotic Rhythm typeface very well. The layout design is very simple because Bali, Indonesia is a very simple and minimalistic place. Mushrooms, frangipani's, and anthurium's are illustrated to represent the the rich nature of Bali, Indonesia, as they are some of the most popular flowers and fungi of the area. As for the color scheme, the mustard yellow represents the sun and the light blue represents the ocean since the festival will be taking place on Padang Padang beach. Using different colors and sizes of the font create hierarchy within the event poster. The goal of this poster is to draw people in by portraying the lively, yet laid back, nature-inspired festival.
