Self Portrait Multiples -- Geting Along with Yourselves

Self Portrait Multiples -- Geting Along with Yourselves!
The idea came from the things that we cannot do by ourselves. The first several thoughts that appeared in my mind are playing most of the broad games and card games. There is a very popular and traditional activity for many Chinese people, especially for the elder ones, many of them like to play Mahjong together and there is a saying called  “Four missing one”, which shows that there must be four people to play Mahjong and people say this for trying to finding the last people to play with them. I think it is very interesting that we need multiple people to play many of the games and it must be very sad if someone is staying with themselves when they want to play a specific game.

One of my favourite games is poker, I used to play poker with my friends, family members and relatives a lot. However, when time passes, most of them start to study hard, work hard, get married and have less time to play it together, I will feel it is a pity. So in this project, my main properse is to display that I need to get along with myself and I can do the things that are considered for people cannot do by themselves. Stop feeling sad and start to enjoy the time with yourself.
Process:
I started with a sketch for the screen that I want. I decided to have six people play the card together since it is more lively for more people to join. People usually play it indoors at night, the mirror behind increases the fun and connection. I try to think about how to set up the scene: "I" and "pokers" in my hand will be the only subjects that are allowed to move. I set the exposure that pleased me the most and camera countdown to 10. I will do the post that I drew in the sketch.

Something:
- Eye connection
- Although It may not be very obvious, the cards that placed on the table is 6*6, 6*8, 6*9, 6* jokers. They represent good luck. "6" means everything will work out successfully, "8" means "getting rich", "9" represents good things that will stay long.
- The vision of this image is based on the foremost "me".
- One extra me exist in the mirror (just for fun).
- The biggest challenge is to consider the relationships between the reflections on the table and mirror.
