I am very fascinated by the metaphorical depictions of the cycle of life that we humans have made all around the world since ages. One of my favourites is the ouroboros symbol.
Looking for more inspirations I found out that the Greek-Roman god Phoebus/Apollo, is a deity of manifold function and meaning, one of the most widely revered and influential of all the ancient Greek and Roman gods. We mostly know him as god of the Sun, but he is more than that.
One of the many things he can do is bringing death and diseases among mortals helped by his sister Artemis (goddess of the hunt, the Moon etc.)
Those two elements of light and darkness led me to this personal representation of a birth-death-rebirth cycle.
(As you can see I also used golden thread...not easy to disentagle it... :) )
