This is my surrealist project of self portrait multiples. I wanted my subject to be funny and make the viewer do a double take. I wanted the subject to pop out from the brick building and grey/green grass. I wore blue to be connected to the blue vacuum and so the subject merges to a person with the vacuum. The blue tied in nicely with the sky and stood out from the background. I also wore big white shoes and a patterned top to stand out.
There are eight of me in this one image. I thought the idea of vacuuming the grass outside was funny. When someone is vacuuming a floor they are also walking all around the area. I hope the image conveys satire as well as makes a viewer stop to look more closely to what the subject is doing.
