HAPS 1950s Fair Brochure

This was a mock-up college project.

For this 1950’s HAPS brochure I decided to create a basic shapes that will appear on each side. In addition, the front and back covers work with a little different shapes and colours, which help to highlight the name of the event, address and other important information. The design was inspired mainly by the jukebox and classic cars, both significant for this time period. Therefore, a lot of simple lines were added to create the boxes, where I then put the text. I also created several rounded shapes, that are supposed to be reminding of the vinyl records. The HAPS logo was placed in the middle of them on the front and back cover.

When the shapes were done, I put simplified images of people and objects on them, all created in adobe illustrator, and applied the colour scheme on them. Thanks to this, they work very well with the whole theme of the brochure. I decided to work with brights but also with dark brown and dark pink to add the concept a bit more contrast. Rest of the colour scheme contains mainly of the shades of blue/green, yellow and one additional skin tone for the images of people. As for the background, I used the bright turquoise colour once again, but this time I also added some dots to create a pattern.
