What does upcycling mean to me? It means respect, creativity, art. I based my project uniquely on an old denim jacket and through some shots I tried to reinvent its shape, wearing it in different and new ways. Reversing and destructuring the garment I developed new possible prototypes representing what in my opinion could be its "renaissance". When we recycle an object we are carrying out an extremely important act. Combining some of my shots with famous Renaissance paintings I wanted to elevate this gesture by comparing it to what an artist does with their work of art.
