On a Dark Desert Highway
I thought I'd have fun with the dreaded 404 Error page (inside scream) and create my very first Adobe Dimension design - both humorous and functional. And it turns out, aliens love MacBooks and Starbucks!
I used Adobe Stock for the truck, billboard and skull as well as textures.com for the billboard frame and rocks. The remaining objects and gradients were designed using Illustrator and Dimension. The driver was downloaded from Adobe Mixamo and exported from Photoshop. Finally, I used a photograph that I had taken in Death Valley as the desert night background.
Below this final design are a few more images including iterations with backgrounds. Design is never simple, and for me at least, it rarely is one path with a sure vision. My designs require iterations and walking away for hours or days. And just like in my instructional design career, I always find more areas that could have been tweaked ;)
