SG Produce Power — Supporting Local Farms

SG Produce Power - A school project on encouraging Singaporeans to purchase local produce.
A way to Singaporeans’ hearts is food, discounts and convenience.
Why not combine them to encourage local produce sales?

SG Produce Power showcases current local produce events, flash deals, subscription boxes and even individual local produce. There are a variety of ways that Singaporeans can support local farms, whether it be through food subscription boxes, delivery, or even purchasing ingredients.
The main selling point would be its food subscription boxes. Consumers receive pre-portioned local ingredients and recipe sheets on how to prepare selected dishes. The app works together with multiple farms to receive and pack ingredients for a hearty, homecooked meal. There are dietary options as well such as HA
While cooking at home may not be convenient to people, there is also a delivery option. Only farm-to-table restaurants will be featured to raise awareness of local produce restaurants. This way, busier Singaporeans are still able to do their part in supporting local farms. The tone of the app is appreciative while raising awareness of the numerous farm brands one has supported after purchases.

Many Singaporeans are motivated by rewards, hence, the addition of a rewards page came about. After purchasing local produce, receipts printed will have a QR code to scan for rewards. People can then exchange them for ntuc vouchers and local restaurant dining discounts.

Promoting the SG Produce Power app through a widely used platform to gain attention. The account is eye-catching but not in your face, with sponsered posts and pictures that hint what the application is about. Additionally, instagram stories of these posts are also welcomed. Since links do not really work on instagram stories, this approach would lead to more interactivity since there are redirect links and the save for later function. Likes and comments are also important as it allows for communication between the brand and consumers’ wants.
Local produce are often overshadowed by imported produce. By placing these brighter stickers on local produce, they are much easier to recognise in a pool of endless produce. Singaporeans may be curious or more inclined to give related produce a try. Slowly but steadily, people may see themselves searching for local produce out of habit, as a second nature. Receipts would then print QR codes representing points. People scan these rewards using the app, encouraging them to download, use, purchase local produce using the app in the long run.
