Veel’s beast

Well this creature design is all about muscles and I spent most of this sketch staring at different bits of anatomy to see how these pieces should function. A few bits of it were so interesting I decided to leave them in the finished design like the leg and the arm muscles. Sometimes you just can’t give up something from the concepting phase and it’s just part of it now.
