A shimmer of hope
2021
Several seasons changed and we are still in our rooms. Walking by the East River in New York around sunset, the sun glitters on the dancing river caught my eye. They seem like emotions. Sparkles are metaphor and guide throughout the drawings. The shiny but mixed emotions, like shimmer of hope. Think yourself as the floating lights, as you scroll down.
고민과 고뇌들로 하루가 채워져 지나간다. 그 사이 계절이 많이 지났고 우리는 아직 실내 라이프에 머물러 있다. 유일한 “평범한 일상” 중 그나마 할 수 있던 산책 중에, 저물어가는 햇살에 빛이 부서지는 맨하탄 이스트 리버를 보다가 문득 이 감정들을 모으고 싶었다.
그림들에 있는 반짝임들은 그 리버에서 봤던 빛나는 윤슬의 흐름이다. 마치 떠다니는 빛처럼 흐르듯 내려가면서 감상해주면 좋겠다.
