The aim of this project is to design a contemporary product, a set of candle holders to the market using the traditional technique of glass blowing and developing shaping/pressing tools that could be used later by the craftsmen. We chose to work on developing glass blown product as we found out that it was a dying craft and we would love to revive it through developing a new technique to use through the production process.

NAWAAR is a collection of contemporary glass candle holders. The concept behind this collection is to create a mood by the reflected colors of the patterns. We wanted to develop a new technique other than the existing shaping and coloring techniques used for glass, so we designed a metal tool that could be used to press against the glass while blowing so it would create interesting intruded patterns.

NAWAAR set is produced by the hands of local craftsmen in a local glass blowing workshop using available and affordable materials in the market.
