Through this project, we’d like to promote the cultural of “drinking.” While sipping the first drip of wine, you’ve already stepped into the wine-tasting paradise. Base on the additional value of packaging,
you can understand how history and culture behind the wine, leading you to the palace of wine-tasting.
While tasting champagne, the temperature affects its qualities.
The optimal temperature of tasting champagne is 8 ℃ to 12 ℃, and the process of icing is to avoid damage the quality of champagne since it’s not appropriate to add the ice cubes to the champagne glass directly.
Thus, we’ve designed design the champagne package as “ice bucket” function to emphasize the concept of the “temperature” we mentioned above. With the launch of its color changing thermochromic cold reactive inks on our packaging. The design of the package structure can place ice cubes to ice-cold the champagne.
Decanting is one of the initial stages in wine-tasting. It is trying to aerate and to stimulate the movement of molecules in the wine to trigger the release of more aroma compounds. All of the wine, it would take longer to decant for the wine with heavy tannins. On the contrary, others with less tannin would take shorter to decant.
Therefore, we utilize and combine “the wine rack” function into the packaging. Base on the “timing” after opening up the bottle, and into the passage of time, it is a metaphor for the waiting time for wine to decant.
