The Story
When the Covid-19 pandemic put the world on hold, Insomniac Events was unable to host one of the largest electronic dance music festivals in the US. Down, but not out, Insomniac decided to host a Virtual Rave-A-Thon to still give fans a taste of the Electric Daisy Carnival from the safety of their own home.
In partnership with Adobe, Insomniac held a contest to design promotional artwork for the Rave-A-Thon. This was my entry.
The Concept
Similar to previous stage owls I've created over the years, I decided to create another owl using the images that were provided by the contest. I only used the content that was given in the contest pack; no outside resources were utilized.
Now because the title of the event was "Virtual Rave-A-Thon" I wanted to create a virtual space. The idea was to look into the real world from the "other side" of the screen.
