Three Point Percentage in the NBA since 1979

Three Point Percentage in The NBA
Ever since the polarizing three point shot was introduced to the National Basketball Association in 1979, players have not only increasingly attempted more of these shots, but have steadily improved their percentages. Although the league as a whole was slow to fully embrace the three pointer, early adopters who practiced the shot were crucial in helping the world famous game become what it is today.
This poster compares and contrasts three pointers attempted versus three pointers made by using data from www.basketball-reference.com. This poster takes inspiration from the game itself by implementing a soft orange as its background color as well as a ball themed pattern. Also, a silhouette of Stephen Curry, one of the greatest shooters in the history of the game, is used as twist on the classic NBA logo.
Data Visualization
The total number of three pointers attempted and made every season since 1979 was recorded in Microsoft Excel. Here, graphs were made to visualize each aspect separately and then together.
Iterations
Once the data was recorded, the next step was to decide the layout and design. The final poster more closely resembles the direction of option 1.
