Do GOOD Design Project: Rainforest Connection Two Page Brochure
For my Digital Layout class that teaches the basics of InDesign, we were given a midterm assignment to design a print-based project for a person, organization, or campaign focused on doing good in the community, country or world.
Due to the pandemic, we could not work with real-world clients that actually needed something designed for them, so instead we had to work with a "virtual client", chosen from a list of people/organizations, or from one's own interests.
I decided to create a two page brochure for an organization called the Rainforest Connection, a non-profit technology startup that is fighting against deforestation through a pretty cool and innovative method- upcycled phones that are attached to trees and powered by solar panels.
The first step of the process was to construct a design brief that would highlight what the virtual client would most likely like to have addressed in the design.
After this brief was "approved", I would work on the brochure over the course of five weeks, receiving critiques from my peers and professor. Eventually after many fixes and adjustments, the final brochure was complete!
