"I BELIEVE..."
"I believe that TSUBASA RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE is not only a fantastic (yet confusing) manga, but a great anime as well."
objective For this project, the objective was to create a series/set of four designs within the same media about something we were passionate about. The set needed to clearly show our intention for the project, working conceptually and visually as a series.
solution For my designs, I chose to create a set of four 24”x36” posters, themed on the travel kind of posters. The idea of each of the posters was to illustrate an image that related to four out of the thirty-three worlds from the manga and anime series, Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE, a favorite series of mine. Each world also correlated to the home world of the main characters. The posters were made all in Illustrator, using multiple layers to help give depth and color. When illustrating the images, I mostly used images from the manga to help guide how they turned out but turned to the few shots from the anime to help guide the colors. Afterwards, I added patterns to help with adding slight textures. Upon completion, the names of the worlds were added to the bottom.

Also known as "Yuuko's Shop"
"Yuuko's Shop, in Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, is the place where Sakura, Syaoran, Kurogane, and Fai met for the first time. Yuuko's Shop originally appears in xxxHolic and plays a very large role there. It's located in modern day Tokyo, Japan (According to the CLAMP's Universe, other mangas developed in the same world/time as CardCaptor Sakura, Suki, Dakara Suki, Lawful Drug and Kobato.), although it's inaccessible unless you're predestined to come here; as a fact, the store is in a different existential plane." - CLAMP

/\ For this mock-up, I decided to add three of the posters, into a scene from the anime. The posters I picked correlated to the characters seen and their home and placed them in the order of the characters. So, "Japan" is in front of Kurogane, "Clow" is in front of Syaoran, and "Celes" is in front of Fai.
