Our goal was to create a logo that stands out in the US sports media landscape and can lead the channel's visual identity.
Sports Talk with Brodes is a Youtube channel covering Philadelphia's sports teams.
Challenges
We needed to find colours and typography that gave off a sports aesthetic, while not pulling too heavily from previously existing brands. Also with the channels name having a lot of characters, we had to find a way to keep the logo attractive and not too wordy.
Outcome
A neutral colour palette and bold slightly curved typography created an inviting look but still retained a sporty aesthetic. We broke up the words into different levels and used a blue tone which is strongly associated with the city to create some separation. The Philadelphia skyline as a border was also a nice touch.
This logo is currently used for digital content and clothing. It provided a starting point towards building the brands identity.
