The houseform has been a part of my visual language since I started making art................I made a lot of trace monotypes initially.  Some I would leave as they were and others I would work into further using oil bar sticks  (large oil paint pastels) others I would work into further with chalk pastels.
Of course the house is in a way a metaphor for the self.  I dont have windows or doors on these house forms as I am often seeking to represent a certain presence such as in Night house where the area of exploration is that of the dreamworld  and solitude.

Made using various intaglio based techniques.  Main handwritten text plate was from a 'salt etch' aluminium plate.  Collagraph, copper plate hard ground etch,  plus inkjet chine colle on Japanese light weight printmaking paper.

Scanned and then output printed on using offset printing, collagraph and inkjet chine colle.
