#3890Tigers | CLIENT: Tiger Beer
3,890 tigers left in the wild, and we can't even find one to shoot, I mean, film.
Tiger Beer partnered with World Wildlife Fund (WWF) to highlight the plight of tigers disappearing from the wild. With this gutsy proposition of #3890Tigers, Tiger Beer started its campaign with six artists creating work inspired by the tiger.
I was brought on to develop a second film idea that dives deeper into the process of these six artists — but with a twist that they'd be going in search of a real tiger. The brief morphs and we land on a Cambodian nature reserve where tigers have been extinct for several years, but will be reintroduced soon.
We packed our bags, went on a journey deep into the forests of Cambodia, and discovered more than what we bargained for. Or not really, it was eye-opening, but there weren't any tigers, just really huge lizards and a dead carcass.
Oh, yes, I wrote the script, and went to Cambodia to produce this.
