NGO-personal hygiene

This is a print ad that I had to design for a college assignment. It is for an NGO that tries to spread awareness regarding personal hygiene. They work to provide toilets to rural areas and educate villagers on how toilets and well-planned sewage systems can improve their quality of living.

I used blue as in the background because-
-  Blue is normally associated with products that promote toilet cleanliness eg: Rin, Harpic, etc. 
- Blue is a cool color and will stand out when put against village walls which are normally of warm colors like Pink, Cream, Brown, etc.
There are no words or any form of texts as-
- Several villages have residents that are illiterate and would understand the print ads better as an illustration.
- Several villages throughout the country speak different languages. using illustrations would break the language barrier and eliminate the need to translate texts into different languages.
I also took a very cartoony approach to attract the attention of children.
