The brief was to create a series of GIFs presenting the class of a chosen street in Bristol.
My first gif was for a coffee lounge. I used a paint brush with lower opacity to create the effect of steam coming from a cup of a coffee. It started to come from the down left edge and by the time it reaches the end of the frame, it has make the text disappear. This effect provoke the viewer to create a story for themselves. The steam can easily be recognised as a cigarette smoke, and this creates another narrative.
The second gif was for a cosmetic shop. The white background suggest beauty and care. I created a red layer move from one side to the other and hide the text. This creates the effect of a lipstick as it rolls in and out. The simplicity of the gif suggest the higher class of the shop.
The last gif I have made was a for a alcohol brand. It was inspired by a advert I saw for a gin. I used the same font and the colours as it is recognisable brand and it could be easily connect with it. My idea was to make it look like a tutorial on how to make the perfect gin cocktail.
