I chose a hammer, flat screwdriver and a small wrench and took 7 photos each in different angles, capturing certain highlights and shadows on the object.
I started off with finding three hardware object that has potential in turning into a logo icon. I chose a hammer, flat screwdriver and a small wrench and took 7 photos each in different angles, capturing certain highlights and shadows on the object.
Next step was to draw multiple reductive sketches of  using silhouettes, light and shadows,  grids squares and grids with shapes. The light and shadow reductive drawing worked the best for my 3 objects. I used the pen tool on Illustrator to trace over the object image taken earlier in the first step of the project.
Next is to create 30 different lockups and playing with size, alignment and position to form a relationship between the icon and words. The words I chose were categorizations of my objects. The typeface I used for my typography was Interstate. With the lockups I applied the color palette I chose and exploring ways I can display huge contrasts between the icon, words, and background. The colors that I used consists of a monochromatic palette of blues
