And in a patriarchal society, we women also bear the objectification of our bodies, subject to the dehumanizing male gaze.
It’s become normal for us to walk on the street and been seen as a sexualized symbol, no matter what we wear.
This project invites you to view a woman’s body, internally and externally, that’s endured such pain on a daily basis. And reflect on the normalized objectification towards female bodies. Just like this project, though the body is carefully framed and placed like an exquisite miniature, it’s still an OBJECT that’s been “offered” to look at.
