Dynamic Facades
The façade system consists of rotary hexagonal steel panels which overlay each other. The geometrical pattern of each panel is formed by laser cutting. Panels slowly rotate during the day and create a gradually altering pattern. The different rotation angles form different shares of filled and transparent parts of the facade. That effect can be used in synchronization with the sunlight direction during the day, which creates shadow patterns and controls the internal natural light conditions.
