Task
Create a website where artists could present their artworks
Description
I took my inspiration from the art exhibitions. Huge white walls and a lot of lights make a feeling of free space and a light atmosphere. Also, I was found out that most of the watercolor artworks usually represented with big white borders.
My main goal was to create a visual accent on the photography of artists' artworks
Logo
I created a logo that includes the artists' names and an image of an easel symbolizing artistic activities
Color Palette & Typo
A color palette is calm and monochrome. All elements of a website decorated with #404040 and #9E9E9E. That colors contrasts well against a white background
Typography makes a good impression and goes well with artworks.
"Lora" is used for informational text blocks which have moderate contrast and well suited for body text.
"Poiret One" is a fresh decorative geometric grotesque with a hint of Art Deco and c‘onstructivism. It's a unique typeface with light forms and pure elegance
This website has been completely designed and built by me. It has custom and valid HTML and CSS code.
A website is run by WordPress and hosted on a free server with a free domain (this is a temporary solution). There are 2 language versions available
A website is fully responsive and works on any device. It was developed in May 2020.
