This graph shows the food management of the individual and the people living in the household. Individuals throw away up to half as much food as people in households, who usually handle food more economically.The more we buy, the more we throw it away. The impulsive purchase of things they would not normally buy means that they do not have time to consume food. As a result, we spend more on discounts than if we only bought what we really needed.On average, there are 25 kg per person in the Czech Republic food waste per year.

As many as half of the fish caught is thrown dead back into the sea. Many of the discarded species are suitable for eating but are not considered desirable, therefore, they are discarded and thrown back into the sea.
