What the Editor wants...
I needed to come up with a way of showcasing the main slant on this particular issue - finance.
I figured a head on riding shot of the latest, greatest Sportsbike, bursting through a plume of cash would cut it. It was all in the prep and the art direction, as we managed to get this shot on the first attempt. It resulted in a stunning cover, and one that went down very well in the industry.
Everything British -
Triumph were about to release their new flagship model, the Daytona 675R. The cover hits home everything that the brand is, confident, British and proud. The gold was printed in foil.
Throw some light -
A simple line up of the bikes here, but perhaps one of the most fun covers I've done. This was shot in a white studio, but I wasn't getting from the photographer what I felt was worthy of a cover. Grabbing a torch and turning all the lights off, I lit the whole piece by hand in one long exposure.
My Last Fast Bikes Cover -
Two brand new bikes launched at seperate times, in seperate countries. So they have been Photoshopped together here, in order to portray the story the headline tells. This was no accident though, and was planned well in advance of either of the bikes being tested.
