BOOKMARK PROJECT

BRIEF: adopt a fashion book from the library resource centre in college, scan in images and create a collage in photoshop in order to make a bookmark.

For this task I chose "The Fashion Game Book" by Florence Muller, I scanned in the front cover as well as one of the pages in the book.

Keeping with the game theme of the book i  decided to create a quiz question bookmark using the image of a hat which i scanned fom the book. Inspired by the front cover i decided to use primary colours for my shape fills and text.

For the back of my bookmark i decided to re create the pixelated effect of the book's front cover. I started by choosing the same image size as my front (width 900pixels height 150pixels) and filled the space with different sized rectangles using the shape tool. I changed the color of the rectangles before flattening the image and applying the liquify filter followed by the pixelate filter. I am very pleased with the end result in particular the pixelated back piece.
