week 9 critique and design

The structure of this magazine is formed by the top line of text being the summary of the whole topic. The second title is the most important as it is the largest text size and in bold.

The way the designer utilises the hierarchy of the main ideas within the poster at the top of the page with the main title in bold with trademark.

The way the magazine is meant to be analysed is from the centre image and then the surrounding topics.

PROS

The things that work well within this magazine is the way the image helps support the surrounding topics related to the issue of men's health. The image has been purposely placed within the centre of the cover to draw peoples attention. This image also overlaps some of the text creating a 3D effect which makes the cover more interesting to look at.

The use of different font sizes indicates the importance of each subtopic which helps readers understand the important issues that  voiced inside the magazine.

CONS

The aspects that affect the magazines is the text that has been placed on this page. The formatting of the text has let this front cover down as it looks like it has been just randomly placed on the page. There is no symmetry which makes the viewers not as satisfied to read.

The other issue present is the choice of text size. The fonts and sizes that are present are not consistent and there is about thirteen different font sizes that make this look clumsy and not professional.
