A Brick, New Jersey resident and former administrator for the Township of Hamilton, John Barrett has been involved with several professional organizations outside his work with the Mercer County government. One of the organizations that John Barrett is a member of is the Government Finance Officer Association of New Jersey (GFOANJ).
GFOANJ will host a fall conference at the Golden Nugget in Atlantic City to promote professionalism among government finance officers. The Annual Fall Conference will be held on September 21-24, 2021. The event is a part of the organization’s overall mission to train government finance officers and promote in-service training, study problems that impact government finances, and review legislation related to finance administration.
Those who attend the conference will have a chance to network and exchange information regarding resources and ideas. They can also earn 16 continuing education credits. Participating companies can also sponsor a booth. Prospective attendees can make reservations at the Golden Nugget Hotel. However, to receive a discounted hotel rate, participants must reserve a room by September 8.
