City of Plano 2020 Census Complete Count Committee
Outreach Strategy and Report
The Plano Complete Count Committee is a 30-member citizen group appointed by the City Council and responsible for outreach education for the 2020 Census in Plano. The primary goals of the committee include:
- Informing Plano residents about the upcoming Census and the benefits of an accurate count for the city.
- Encouraging residents to promptly self-respond to the Census, eliminating the time and tax dollars spent sending enumerators (Census employees) door-to-door to gather information.
- Targeting promotional and educational efforts to typically hard-to-count or under-reported demographic groups.
- Adobe Illustrator to create logo, flyers, and coloring page.
- Adobe InDesign to create document design and layout.
