When we were assigned to create black & white newspaper ads that combined the new Toy Story Funhouse and that southern Californians get into Disneyland for only $24, we knew we had a lot to play with. Namely the characters from the hit animated movie. So, we created several versions of the ad starring other members of the Toy Story cast. Two of the layouts were chosen to run in the local newspapers. And, of course, we had to use the Pig. As I was writing the copy, I was channeling John Ratzenberger. His voice was literally sounding in my head, reading the copy. I was definitely in a groove that day. I don’t even think that there were any edits.
