I sketched out a picture of a flower on a cardboard box and cut out each part of the flower. I glued the small pieces of cardboard onto another thinner piece of card to form a stamp.

I applied a thick layer of paint onto the cardboard, ready to be stamped on a piece of paper.

I used my old exercise book as the medium for this technique to replace wood. First, I sketched a rough picture of a flower.

Next, I used a knife/box cutter to slowly carve out the picture of the flower excluding the outlines.

I applied paint on the medium and stamped it onto an A3 size paper. As the medium used was paper, it was quite hard to make the colours appear clearly when paper absorbs quickly (The paint dries faster).
