This advertising campaign is to address the issues of phone addiction or spending too much time on phone.
These ads potray a young boy who is always using his phone in every ad. He is unaware of his surroundings that he doesnʼt even realised something had happened in his life such as; being ditched by his family & girlfriend, failing his exam and appearing on STOMP.
These ads is to address this issue and asking people to spend less time using their phones, taking control of their life and surroundings which is potrayed by the tagline ʻHang up your phone and take back your lifeʼ. It is espescially targeted to teenagers.
The copy has a mixture of both English and Singlish; headline being Singlish as it is targetted to Singaporeans while the tagline being English. This is due to the fact that Singapore uses these two language in their daily life.
