Jordan Retro 12's (Taxi). This picture captures the art of "Shoe Throwing" at its best. It also captures the culture and simplicity of urban neighborhoods. I don't know how throwing shoes on powerlines started but my experiences with it was because either a Bully tossed your shoes up there or to add personallity and character to your block. In my opinion, it was a Art form and symbolizes the strenght of a community. I had a pair of sneakers hanging on the telephone wire infront of my house that fell after years and years of hanging and out of respect and to keep the tradtition going I tossed them right back up.
