The bed is the only furniture that requires its own room. In most cultures and traditions, beds are placed in a different room and the reason is that it’s a piece of furniture, very private and special. People have to feel comfortable in it, as they are doing some of the most important things for their survival. The bed is the place where people sleep, relax or reproduce.
The design of this bed, wants to express the importance of the furniture and wants to be the connection between reality and dreams, the conscious and the unconscious. The way it comes out of the floor and the wall like the whole room with the furniture is a unique body expresses it's fundamental point of existence.
