Movie Poster - Kill Bill Vol. 1

This project we were required to create our own version of a movie poster. I chose Kill Bill because of its powerful imagery, visually striking elements, and intense plot. Using Photoshop I was able to combine all elements of a typical poster together to make a unique take on this cult classic. I had the most trouble finding a photo of the katana and the black mamba snake so I used my hand drawn version as a placeholder. As my Photoshop skills get better, I plan to go back and finish this project so it is completely digitally rendered.
Hand Drawn Version
This project we were required to find digital elements for our poster idea, then print them out and use them in combination for our hand drawn version. Materials I used were micron pens, Prismacolor Markers, and a light board to combine everything. At the time of creating this version I wasn't sure what I wanted the background to be so I left it blank. Choosing later to do the black and yellow split.
