Project Goals:
During the first lockdown of the Pandemic, I decided to start a business of selling personalised, painted glass ashtrays and tealight holders as well as wooden boxes. When I ran out of materials to work with, I realised that the best thing to use is old and found objects, especially in a time like this where sustainability is of utmost importance. I experimented with how to cut glass and painted anything I could find!
These items were personalised according to my relationship (if any) with the individual buying them, the relationship of an individual with the person they were gifting it to or according to interests of the individual buying it if they were a stranger. I would have a conversation with them first and then paint according to that.

I decided to turn it into a tribute to Bangalore skies since that is where we met and incorporated the colours he loves and uses in his own work. Metro line themed ashtray.
This ashtray was made for a friend who I bonded with during a performance we did in Chickpete Metro Station, Bangalore which involved us painting metro lines all over our faces and bodies.
