On the night of August 12 I wanted to capture the Milky Way and the Perseid Meteor shower with a cabin in the shadows of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. So I set up my camera while there was still enough light to frame my subject (was it the Milky Way or was it the Cabin?). On this night there was a crescent moon to lighten things up and there were dissipating clouds from a very cloudy afternoon with showers and thunderstorms. So it turned out my images of the Milky Way were pretty good but need a lot of work. And since I am a novice at using photoshop to get things right, I thought I'd practice on this image of the moon set over the mountains.
What do you think?
