Lisa Brooks Abenaki is a member of the Abenaki Nation of Missisquoi, and is passionate about land reclamation and Indigenous history. Her book, Our Beloved Kin, won the Bancroft Prize for American History and Diplomacy among many other prestigious awards. Lisa herself was awarded the Guggenheim Fellowship, and is a professor at Amherst College.
