For this video, I wanted to go back to a park in Novi that I discovered for a photography class in the Fall 2020 semester. There were a lot of beautiful landscapes there and I wanted to capture some of my favorite moments. For my found footage, I wanted to layer some of my favorite songs/music videos together to enhance the scenery I found at the park. To layer them all together, I turned down the opacity for the layer on top, and for some of the scenes, I added in keying to get rid of the most dominant color. This whole project was done by myself in Adobe Premiere.

Video and Sound Art Project- I made this video in Adobe Premiere blending together music videos from Evanescene (Better Without You), Breaking Benjamin ft. Lacey Strum (Dear Agony), and Sleeping with Sirens (Alone).
1. The Battle of Nature and Machine
The sound of rain can be very calming but what happens when you add machines and other noise to the mix? For this project, I combined two songs together with some nature and a little bit of car noise to create this sound art piece in Audacity. I took the outro, What Dreams May Come from a solo project (from Dustin Bates, lead singer of Starset) called MNQN and added the WahWah effect to make a vibration kind of sound. I took the outro to another song called Telekinetic by Starset, and layered it on top of my sound as well as speed up the intro for the beginning and reversing it for the ending. Overall, I thought it would be fun to keep adding my favorite music but masking the vocals and taking the different nuances of the songs and adding my clip of traveling to Frankenmuth.
