Manipulation of Time - Time-lapse

I knew I wanted to do a time-lapse for my manipulation piece, I have always found them interesting and thought it would be an achievable option during lockdown. I had no idea what I wanted to film, I thought about the sky, plants, people, cars but just felt like I didn’t have any cool angles in my house to shoot these things and make it interesting enough. I then landed on the idea of art, and I had gotten these paint by the numbers canvas’s for when I wanted a break from my computer, or when I was feeling overwhelmed and needed some time to relax. I decided it would work as such a relaxing and satisfying time-lapse, and also provided myself with some comfort and down time.
By the time I had gotten around to painting it was around 3pm and I know if I wanted at least 2 minutes of footage I would need about two hours of recording footage. I adjusted the settings and left it with auto expose each frame hoping it would adjust when the sun started to disappear.
Overall, I think the time-lapse came out how I was hoping it would, it does get a little under exposed at the end however, I am not too fused about it, in a way it shows the time of day, and that wind down experience to end the day. I added some light music into the time-lapse just so that viewers don’t get too bored as the length of the video is a little long. Ideally I probably would have shot for 1 minute of video however, I still enjoy watching the process.
