The concept of our project stems from the basic operation of the any factory: A CYCLE. The complex was designed for it to allow the easy performance of the activities relating to the requirements that are developed within. The formal design of the building is inspired by the same idea of the cycle, as it resembles a cyclic journey that begins and ends at the same point. The design also focuses on breaking any conventionality and monotony that most factories possess. A dynamic and contemporary design generating sensations is achieved; in turn, attractive façades that catch the attention of any user.
Since the design is based on LEED considerations, the building’s climate requirements were major talking points . An outer lattice functioning as double skin was designed; which, depending on the orientation of the facades, opens or closes to allow the entry of natural light into the building without letting the sunlight ‘s UV come through. Equally, the lattice gives personality and aesthetics to the building generating movement on the facade; as well, the composition of the vertical elements in chromed steel allude to the same activities performed within the factory.
