Client:
Women for Women International in the DRC
Project Summary:
Develop a motion graphics package adapting the organization's established visual identity to a promotional video showcasing the WfWI's programs in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, produced by Istrico Productions.
Approach:
The WfWI visual identity centers around a bespoke aesthetic; brush stroke textures, figurative shapes and earth color tones conveying the grassroots nature of the organization's work. The brush stroke metaphor was applied to the logo reveal in the intro as well as lower third text containers of color and footage. Contrasting colors were used to set off the content and colorize the footage.
Creative Team:
• Anthony Istrico, Principal Istrico Productions
• Nora Kubach, Producer Istrico Productions
• Jared Groneman, Editor and animator Istrico Productions
• John McGlasson, Art director, designer
Project Details:
• logo intro storyboard, design
• lower thirds
• various graphic elements for animation
WfWI logo reveal intro
The distinct brush stroke elements of the logo were used as footage containers. The simultaneous "sizzle reels" briefly showcase the organization's efforts as they converge to reveal the WfWI logo.
Lower thirds
A modified version of the brush stroke from the WfWI was used as a text container.
Graphic elements and transition:
The graphic elements pull from the brand palette and typography. After the data is shown, the country shape becomes the frame to transition the infographic content to the footage.
