Designing with Glyphs
For these designs I used the Sans Serif font Neue Haas Grotesk Bold, and the Serif font Stemple Garamond Roman.
For this project, I was supposed to make a design using alphanumeric glyphs. I could use five to eight glyphs, and I also needed to use at least five specific elements of typographic anatomy. I had to have at least two white and two black glyphs. I was required to use the fonts Neue Haas Grotesk Bold and Stemple Garamond Roman. I tried to use these guidelines to make interesting, harmonious, and eye-catching designs.
I wanted there to be contrast in this design, although I wanted it all to be harmonious too. I used different sized glyphs with similar shapes to acheive these objectives.
I wanted to make a design that flowed together well. I tried to pick glyphs that would work well togther to make it feel like one beautiful glyph.
