The 2002 Olympic Winter Games left an interactive tribute and legacy in Salt Lake City at the University of Utah's Rice-Eccles Stadium. This is the first project in a long partnership between SUBJECTMATTER and Infinite Scale. Infinite Scale helped immortalize the Games with permanent exterior installations including a 17-panel series - one for each day of the Games - and the actual 2002 Cauldron. SUBJECTMATTER acted as the design and technical consult as well as taking on the management and fabrication of signage and casegoods. The interior components can be easily packed away for special events and game days. The museum space includes dedications to the Games torch, an athlete photograph gallery, and a small theater in which the story of the Games, from Opening to Closing Ceremony is conveyed thru a stunning documentary.
