Museum Exhibit: Ladies In Levi's
Arts371: Graphic Design II
Ladies In Levis is an exhibit focusing on the evolution of woman in jeans, specifically Levis jeans. Levis is one of the biggest jean companies that have been dominating the jean industry since 1853. The branded jeans started by a man named Levi Strauss who immigrated to San Francisco during the gold rush in the 1850s and began to build his empire. The jeans were originally created for the working class man. This exhibit is held to walk through the history and transformation of Levis jeans from the blue collar class male to the unstoppable women in jeans. Levis pathed a way and opened doors to the beautiful, elegant, and flirty fashion of woman in pants, specifically jeans. The appeal of the exhibit is to call importance to one of the most crucial piece of article in a woman's wardrobe and to highlight the brand that started it all.
