My First Pill for PRAA
This editorial design is an annual publication gathering stories from people with +HIV for PRAA in Taiwan. In this design I was playing with elements like ribbons, pills and capsules. I am also playing with the Chinese characters on the cover of the book since it's written in Chinese.

Title: My First Pill

Pills or drugs (藥) in Chinese character is made of 2 parts with "Grass" or "Plant" (草) at top and "Happiness" (樂) at the bottom. It simply refer to the grass or plant which can bring you happiness and ease the pain.

To make it more obvious, I break the word in 2 characters with 2 different wiritng styles. "Grass" is written in bronze script style and "Happiness" is in modern type face.

When it comes to drugs, we often associate it with sick patients and despair. With the approach of breaking the character "Drug" (藥) and make the happiness (樂) part stand out, I wish to convey that drugs are something make you feel happy not restrain you by them.
