KOBU Foundry has now launched Ereganto, its 3rd typeface of the year. The link between Ereganto™ and the human body was explored in the Human Grade Type project, a photographic collaboration that joined both KOBU’s sub-brands (Foundry™ and Photon™) together in a project that highlights the new typeface’s seductive shapes and forms portrayed on the surface where it feels most meaningful - the human skin."

Ereganto™ typeface is elegant, fluid and balanced, and we used body painting to visually convey those concepts. Applying projection and stencil techniques, we covered our dear volunteers in royal blue dye and gold painted Ereganto's types, embracing their organic figures. A spontaneous choreography of seamless yet intentional gestures provided the alluring dynamics we captured through photography and film to present this typeface.

Ereganto™ Serif’s design was conceived as an acclamation to the gracious and delicate forms of the human body, being highly drawn to an ideal of beauty and grace. Its lines transmit a broad sense of elegance that can also be perceived even through its heavier weights due to its extensive subtlety.
